This hidden state park in Vermont is quite diverse and provides visitors with interesting terrain, rocky and sandy beaches, and lots of places to explore and wander.

There is no direct beach access from the parking lot. Instead, you’ll walk along the main trail which is roughly half a mile to the nearest beach access point.

The walking and hiking trails at Niquette Bay State Park are beautiful and charming nature walks. It’s also very nice to wander in the forest area to escape the heat of the midday sun.

There are many points at which you can access Lake Champlain at Niquette Bay. If you are an adventurous person, definitely check out some of the cliff jumping spots. Cliffs of dolomitic limestone surge swiftly from the water to heights surpassing 60 feet. Other areas will provide smaller cliffs of five to fifteen feet where you can also cliff jump.

Niquette Bay has majestic and stunning views of Lake Champlain and the surrounding area. There are several hiking loops to explore and impressive vistas of the Green Mountains and Mallett’s Bay.
