If you ask us here at Only In New York, we’ll tell you that any time of year is amazing to head out to Niagara Falls to enjoy one of our state’s most visited parks and sets of waterfalls. With that said, you’ll find that one of the most popular seasons to visit Niagara Falls State Park is during the summertime, and that’s largely due to the fact that people want to experience activities like the Cave of the Winds. Well, no need to wait until the warmer months to arrive to enjoy this corner of the falls because it’s recently been announced that the Cave of the Winds will be open during the winter too — check it out!
During New York State’s coldest months, you can find Niagara Falls State Park completely transformed into a breathtaking winter wonderland.

Giving you an almost identical experience to that of which you’d have during the summer and fall, people will be able to come into the Cave of the Winds Visitors Center and learn all about the history of the falls before heading down.

During the winter, you’ll grab your tickets for the Cave of the Winds experience, taking the elevator down to the frozen gorge where you’re surrounded by all the ice and snow.
