Recently, WalletHub released a report telling us what many people have known for a long time: New Hamphire is a great place to retire! In fact, they named is the 3rd best state in the country to retire. This is based on a variety of factors.

The #1 and #2 spots were claimed by Florida and Colorado, but New Hampshire scored well among each of the categories that made up the final ranking.

High scores among factors such as affordability (adjusted cost of living and tax-friendliness on pensions & social security income, to name a few), quality of life (a la access to public transit and share of population aged 65+), and overall healthcare pushed New Hampshire to the top of the list, beating out Utah and Wyoming who came in at #4 and #5.

Overall, New Hampshire scored an impressive 59.25, just beating out Utah (58.33) and coming so close to Colorado (60.99).

Where did we do the best and the worst? Not surprisingly, New Hampshire scored highest in quality of life, ranking 4th overall. In health care we came 6th.
