Montana has a lot of warm weather traditions, from our outdoor festivals to our firework-filled rodeos. But if you live anywhere near Virginia City, you know how exciting and fun it is when our favorite ghost town comes alive for the season. And part of that process involves opening the Wells Fargo Steakhouse, a historic treasure with fantastic food.

The historic Wells Fargo Coffee House was originally constructed in the 1880s.

The Wells Fargo building has been a restaurant since Charlie Bovey resurrected it in the 1950s.

Step inside and you’ll see tall tin ceilings, a horseshoe bar, and Victorian decor.

This is a steakhouse, and the cuts of meat served here are truly delicious.

The Fargo also serves pasta, vegetarian fare, and even fresh seafood.

Reservations are highly recommended for dining here… but if you do end up at the bar, it won’t be the worst thing in the world.

The Wells Fargo Steakhouse will open for the season on June 12th.
