We Michiganders sure do love the outdoors. It’s no secret that most of us adore spending time hiking, biking, beaching, skiing, camping, or simply exploring the many natural wonders of the Great Lakes State. Non-Michiganders might not understand just how incredible our nature-based attractions are, but travel publication TripSavvy recently named Michigan its top 2020 destination for outdoor enthusiasts. We’re inclined to agree with this classification, and here’s some supporting evidence to prove that our state belongs on your travel bucket list.

When most out-of-staters think of Michigan, their minds might wander to the bustling streets of Detroit, but they don’t call us the Great Lakes State for nothing.
