Here in Arizona, one nonprofit organization goes to great lengths to rescue and rehabilitate reptiles from all over the globe, in addition to educating the public on how to best help conserve endangered species. Founded in 2001, the Phoenix Herpetological Society focuses on two specific goals: rescue and rehabilitation, and conservation education. It works with a number of organizations — including animal control departments and law enforcement — to save and better the lives of reptiles from all over the world.
