M-29 is a highway near Detroit that spans a beautiful northward-southward stretch.

If you choose to follow this scenic route from Detroit, you can plan for a day of beautiful waterfront views and small-town charm. There’s something for everyone to enjoy.

We recommend driving all the way to Port Huron and back. This M-29 drive runs for 60 miles each way, so set aside at least a few hours to fully appreciate the journey.

To begin your drive on this scenic pathway, sometimes referred to as the Blue River Tour, simply take I-94 eastbound from the Motor City and follow exits to access M-29.
