If it’s not one thing, it’s another. Hurricane season is quickly approaching, and if the predictions are true, we are in for a doozy of a season. While there’s no telling for sure how many storms we will see or where they will make landfall, everything is lining up for one incredibly active hurricane season, and you’ll want to be prepared.
Hurricane season runs from June through November, and if the predictions are true, then we are in for a heavy hitter of a season.

They’re predicting 18 named storms, nine hurricanes, and four major hurricanes, with one that is a Category 3 or higher.

The study is based on a number of factors, including sea-surface temperatures, La Nina, and past hurricane seasons with similar conditions.

A season can deliver several storms but still have little impact.
Jared Smith/Flickr No matter how many storms form, there’s still no telling where they will hit, or if they will make landfall in the United States at all, so it’s important to be prepared either way.
As we are all aware, all it takes is one storm to cause severe damage.
InterNetwork Media/Getty Even a tropical storm can wreak havoc if it’s slow-moving and drops a ton of rain, triggering massive flooding.
It’s always good to have a hurricane preparation plan.
