If it’s not one thing, it’s another. Hurricane season is quickly approaching, and if the predictions are true, we are in for a doozy of a season. While there’s no telling for sure how many storms we will see or where they will make landfall, everything is lining up for one incredibly active hurricane season, and you’ll want to be prepared.

Hurricane season runs from June through November, and if the predictions are true, then we are in for a heavy hitter of a season.

They’re predicting 18 named storms, nine hurricanes, and four major hurricanes, with one that is a Category 3 or higher.

The study is based on a number of factors, including sea-surface temperatures, La Nina, and past hurricane seasons with similar conditions.
