Northeast Ohio has a distinctive feel that locals can instantly identify. Though communities in our region tend to be more densely populated than in other parts of Ohio, we maintain a small-town atmosphere that’s delightful for locals and visitors alike to explore. It’s also, as it turns out, an excellent setting for a fictional story full of emotion and fire. Little Fires Everywhere on Hulu, set in Greater Cleveland, captures this feeling and infuses it with a fascinating storyline that will keep you hooked. Check it out:

The Shakers, also known as the United Society of Believers in Christ’s Second Appearing, were pacifist, egalitarian, and, unfortunately for their legacy, celibate. Today, Shaker Heights is home to around 28,500 residents and some very fascinating stories.
This area is overflowing with history, and it is fascinating to explore.

It has been in the area since 1947, and a number of other places of interest (including the Honoring the Memory of O.P. and M.J. Van Sweringen monument and The Shaker Parklands) are within walking distance of this historic marker.
While the area has a story to tell, it’s also the perfect setting for a fiction novel to flourish.

The book has since been adapted into a Hulu series, which debuted in March of 2020.
