Registration starts at 10 a.m., although the race doesn’t generally kick off until 11 or 11:30. The starting time really depends on how many racers show up.

However, you’ve got a lot of work to do before race day, starting with building your sled to go along with 2020’s Fast and Furious theme.

You’ll also have to keep a few rules in mind as you start building. You can use any design/style of duct tape you want, but make sure it is “less than 50 percent” of the sled’s complete design.

On that note, you’re only allowed to use two types of materials – cardboard and duct tape. No plastic, staples, or string. You can use paint to decorate your sled.

Teams can consist of a maximum of five members, and come up with a catchy team name. The entry fee to race is $1 per sled.

You’ll also have to be able to tell the judges how you stop your sled. For a full list of rules, click here.

Teams are vying for three awards – the Tip Top Award for the best sled, the Spirit Award, and the Speed Award.

If you’re not racing, grab something hot to drink in the lodge, or roast marshmallows over the fire pit as you wait for the race to start.
