Glacier National Park is the Treasure State’s finest gem. It also happens to be a hiker’s paradise, with an abundance of trails ranging from steep mountain climbs to tranquil forested treks. But no hike is quite as enchanting as the Florence Falls Trail, a pleasant adventure that takes you straight to a stunning waterfall. While the trail is neither short nor easy, it’s well worth the effort.

The Florence Falls Trail is located near East Glacier Park Village.

Ashlyn Rice / alltrails.com The journey begins at the Jackson Glacier Overlook, about 12 miles west of the St. Mary Entrance Station on Going-To-The-Sun Road. The trailhead is located near the eastern end of the parking lot.

The hike takes you through quite a bit of forest, which occasionally break for spectacular meadows full of lush greenery (and sometimes wildflowers).

The trail is 9.2 miles out-and-back, so you should allow a whole day for the experience.
