Even if you traveled through Texas your entire life, it’s nearly impossible to visit all of the cute little towns that often get overlooked. While this list could’ve gone on forever, we chose 10 towns that either had interesting history, a memorable name, or some that we had just never heard of before. Here are 10 super tiny towns in Texas that most people don’t even know exist:

- Chillicothe
Billy Hathorn/Wikipedia This small town near the Oklahoma border has just over 700 residents. It was founded in the early 1880s, and built off the construction of the Fort Worth and Denver Railway in 1887.
- Round Top
Ernest Mettendorf/Wikipedia This quaint little town in Fayette County has just 90 people, according to the 2010 census.
- Mentone
J. Stephen Conn/Flickr With a population of only 19, it is the only community in Loving County. In 1967, it was deemed a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark as the “Smallest County Seat in Texas.”

What is the safest place to live in Texas? Two of the safest cities in Texas to live in are Hutto and Fulshear. Both cities have consistently been at the top of the list when it comes to total crimes and overall safety of its residents.
