Taking place June 19-21, 2020, the Great Galena Balloon Race is one of the most popular hot air balloon festivals in the state.

It always happens the third full weekend in June and features live music, a balloon glow, art, and food vendors in addition to the best hot air balloon show in the state and possibly the country.

Admission is $5 (cash only) to enter the festival. There is free parking and shuttle to the field for watching the balloons launch.

In addition to the balloon glow on Friday and Saturday nights, Saturday night will also include a car show beginning at 6 p.m. and showcasing antique vehicles.
