Georgetown Lake is an extremely underrated Montana destination. Located in Deer Lodge and Granite Counties and surrounded by three mountain ranges, it’s a fantastic spot for fishing, camping, and lakeside lounging. It’s also where you’ll find The Lakehouse at Georgetown Lake, formerly known as the Brown Derby Bar & Inn. This is an iconic treasure with great hospitality and delicious food.
The Lakehouse at Georgetown Lake is located in Anaconda, along the Pintlar Scenic Route 1 in the Pintlar Mountains.

The restaurant actually dates all the way back to 1927, although it did close for over a year.

Many a Montanan has come here for a piping hot meal after a long day of fishing, hiking, and enjoying the abundant outdoor recreation in the area.

The food here consists mainly of burgers, seafood like fish and chips, and other classic comfort food like sandwiches and pasta.

At a time when new restaurants and bars seem to be popping up all over the state, it’s nice to have a piece of living history here by one of our most beloved lakes.
