Forrest starts running, and keeps going for 3 years, 2 months, 14 days, and 16 hours. He runs all the way to the Santa Monica Pier, then back across the country to the Marshall Point Lighthouse in Maine. He runs up a mountain in North Carolina, and past fields of cows. He finally runs through downtown Flagstaff…

…and ends up here, at the top of the hill along Route 163 on the Utah/Arizona border. You’ll recognize the famous group of sandstone bluffs of Monument Valley.
