Come summertime in Minnesota, there is nothing better than enjoying a meal in the great outdoors. While there are endless outdoor patios and plenty of good places to make a campfire, we think it’s time for drive-in restaurants to make a comeback. There are many all across the state, including one that just reopened after several years closed. Next time you’re in St. Louis Park, stop into the quirky and colorful Galaxy Drive-In. This eye-catching spot is back in business, and it serves up great, classic diner food!

If you’ve ever driven down Highway 7 in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, you’ve likely noticed a colorful, well-lit restaurant with a retro-looking sign. Galaxy Drive-In is hard to miss along this route.

It’s easy to see why places like this were popular. You can pull up to the speaker if you’d like a quick bite in your car. Or you can take a seat at one of the many picnic tables on the restaurant’s grounds.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a burger spot with plenty of deep-fried appetizers. Add an extra side of fries or onion rings to round out your meal. You will love the food and fun that you’ll find at this nostalgic spot!
