If you’re bummed about missing a trip to one of Washington’s beautiful national or state parks this spring, you’re not alone. Luckily, there’s still a way to get your nature fix without even leaving home. Many of our stunning state parks are available to tour virtually — and while it’s certainly not the same, it’s definitely the next best thing. This week, try exploring the wildly underrated Wallace Falls State Park from the comfort of your couch.

Wallace Falls State Park is located in Snohomish County, on the west side of the Cascade Mountains.

The park spans 1,380 acres along the Wallace River, and it’s lush, green and gorgeous.

The waterfall has three tiers and 265 feet into a large amphitheater.

Both the upper and lower falls can be seen on the virtual tour, as well as several hiking trails, the Valley Vista overlook, and even some camping cabins.

In the summertime, you might even see people swimming here.

It’s frustrating to miss out on trips to our state parks right now, but thankfully, the break is temporary, and we’ll soon be exploring them again.
