The trail traverses through a shady and cool wooded area near Mt. Philo State Park.

In 1948 the University of Vermont acquired roughly 200 acres of this area from the Pease Family. And although the peak has only an elevation of 800 feet, there are plenty of sweet views present along this pleasant hike.

The trailhead is located right next to the Charlotte Central School. Head to the far end of the school athletic field where you should find a trail sign for the Pease Mountain Loop.
