There is nothing better than getting outside for a bit of fresh air and exercise. Nebraska parks are some of the best places to enjoy nature and recreational activities. Luckily our state is full of amazing state and local parks. In Kearney, we know of an amazing park that has a huge, inclusive playground that your whole family can enjoy!
Harmon Park is an absolutely gorgeous city park in the college town of Kearney. The park was established in 1876 and is known largely for its stunning rock garden. However, its amazing playgrounds are also pretty noteworthy.

In 2013, the Leafie May Inclusive Playground officially opened for fun. This massive playground allows children of all abilities to enjoy the park equipment.

Residents of Kearney knew that all kids needed a safe place to play and through fundraising efforts, grants, and careful planning their dreams became a reality. Today you will find kids and parents alike enjoying the playground.

If your kids get tired of the playground equipment at Leafie May Inclusive Playground they can enjoy the other Harmon Park playground. The Ellen Baldwin Playground pre-dates the inclusive play space but is still great fun for many Kearney kids!

Harmon Park is a shining jewel in the city of Kearney. Come out and enjoy the playground, ball fields, rock garden, activity center, basketball courts, and everything else this park has to offer.
