We’ve heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and while we can’t get behind the idea that lunch and dinner are somehow inferior, we definitely think that starting the day with The Hoss Biscuit at Sweet Lake Biscuits & Limeade is always a good idea.

Sweet Lake Biscuits & Limeade got it start at the Downtown SLC Farmers Market, selling delicious limeade. That turned into a larger enterprise, and the business opened its Salt Lake City location several years ago.

The fresh limeades are still a hit here, and you’ll definitely want to start your meal with one. Choose from the classic mint limeade, or go with a raspberry, ginger, honey cucumber, or habanero limeade - they’re all tangy and delicious.

The limeade is what got this place started, but the biscuits are what gets people out of bed and into the restaurant. They’re baked right here every morning.

The house specialty is The Hoss - a towering biscuit confection that starts with a fried chicken breast that’s topped with an egg, cheddar cheese, and thick-sliced bacon, then surrounded with house-made sausage gravy and topped with green onions.

You’ll definitely want to order your Hoss with a side of red quinoa hash browns. This huge meal will stick with you all day long.
