Sometimes we stumble across a business so fantastic, we can’t help but wonder what inspired the concept. In the case of Tacoma’s Broken Spoke, we’d imagine the point is either to make getting a haircut more fun or to combine two fun pastimes (having a drink at the bar and visiting a barber shop) into one experience. Whatever the inspiration was, we’re glad that this bar and barbershop combination exists.
The Broken Spoke is located on Martin Luther King Jr Way in Tacoma, in a small building that definitely resembles a neighborhood watering hole.

At first glance, this looks like a great place to spend an afternoon, especially with the complimentary pool table beckoning you in.

The wall space that isn’t taken up by bikes features unique art from local artists and the daily draft specials.

If you come here just to drink and hang out, no one will judge you.

That being said, the onsite barbershop is certainly convenient if you decide to get a haircut.
