The trail gets pretty steep in areas, but that’s nothing good shoes and a walking stick can’t usually fix. It’s rated as moderate, so use caution when exploring.

A big spot to stop by is the Indian Rock itself, a marker of the Battle Of Indian Rock in 1857. The Kansa, Potawatomi, and Delaware native nations clashed here during their last (significant) skirmish.

Leashed dogs are allowed on the trail, and all 1.2 miles are a good bit of exercise due to all the elevation changes. It’s accessible year round, and looks especially beautiful frozen in the winter.
