When many people flock to the beaches on the west coast of Florida, they tend to stick to the tried-and-true: Siesta Key, Naples, Marco, or Sanibel Island. Don’t get us wrong, those are some pretty mind-blowing beaches. However, there is one beautiful beach that still is a slice of paradise that many have yet to discover. Not only is this beach perfect for shelling and for finding prehistoric shark’s teeth, but it also has spectacular sunsets and shimmering emerald waters. Take a look at Caspersen Beach in Florida…

When you visit Caspersen Beach Park you’ll be able to enjoy the expanse of the beach—turquoise water and lightly rolling waves lapping the white sand.

You’ll also be able to walk along the designated nature trail, too, which is a 20-minute light walk through the fascinating coastal hammock.

What makes this beach such a secluded piece of paradise is that the southern two-thirds of beachfront were left in a natural state, so it’s as if you’re on your own tropical island.

There are other habitats to explore in the park, from the freshwater and saltwater marshes to the tidal flats and the mystifying mangroves.

Also make sure to keep an eye out for seashells and prehistoric shark teeth, as this beach is known for providing some epic surprises along the shorelines.

And by shark teeth, we’re not talking about the type you need a magnifying glass for—you can really find some gigantic ones!
