The year may have just begun, but we’ve already got a can’t-miss event for you to put on the calendar — Penguin and Pops. As amazing as it sounds, the event offers attendees the chance to indulge in tasty artisan popsicles AND pose for a picture with penguins! Take a look:
Hosted by Mississippi Aquarium, Penguin and Pops is your chance to meet a few of the aquarium’s resident penguins.

The cool event will take place over the course of two days, January 18th and 25th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. On the 18th, it’ll be at Pop Brothers in Bay St. Louis, and on the 25th, at Pop Brothers in Ocean Springs.

For a cost of $10, attendees will get a popsicle and penguin photo-op. Even better, a portion of the proceeds will go directly towards Mississippi Aquarium’s conservation efforts for the endangered African penguin.

Nearly as exciting as the penguin photo-op are the pops! All the popsicles at Pop Brothers are handmade in small batches.

Remember, you only have two chances to attend Penguin and Pops: January 18th (Pop Brothers Bay St. Louis) and January 25th (Pop Brothers Ocean Springs). Each day, the event runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
