West Virginia is home to hundreds of beautiful waterfalls. And one of the tallest and easiest to access is Cathedral Falls, located just off Route 60 near Gauley Bridge in Fayette County. And with this wet spring we’re having, this is a great time to check out this stunning cascade!

At certain times of the year, the falls dry up to a small trickle or disappear altogether.

Thankfully, Cathedral Falls is one of the easier falls to access in West Virginia: you can drive right up to it!

If you want an easy hike, you can take a short trail from the pull off if you’d like to get closer to the falls.

And if you look closely, you might even spot a rainbow.
