River Inn Bar & Grill is a great restaurant in Hanover, Minnesota. This town, about 30 miles northwest of Minneapolis, is an easy trek for those who want to try something new.

River Inn Bar & Grill is housed in an old brick building that dates back to 1894. In 1910, the building became a pool hall. You can still see details from the pool hall today.

Those old details are best observed in the bar, where you can look up and see the old tin ceiling! Both the ceiling and walls of this area are more than 100 years old.

If you don’t want to sit in the bar, the dining room - though much newer - is still perfectly lovely. Wooden furniture gives it a cozy vibe, and the friendly servers only add to the comfortable atmosphere.
