Ah, the good old days. It’s hard not to feel nostalgic for shimmering summer afternoons along the pier. If you’ve been in Connecticut a while, you probably made loads of memories at Savin Rock Amusement Park. This exciting attraction had it all: roller coasters, fortune tellers, and delicious frozen custard. It’s always fun to take a glimpse back in time. Let’s look back at this cherished, now defunct Connecticut theme park.

But it wasn’t always sunshine and rainbows. The vibrant pier was destroyed by a fire in 1932, and The Great Hurricane of 1938 wiped out the beloved Devil and Thunderbolt roller coasters.
