Chutters has been a presence in the community since the late 1800s when its original owner, Frederick George Chutter, came to town for a job preaching as a Congregational minister.

The business became Chutter’s General Store and he became one of the most beloved members of the community. Today, the store of the same name has become its own beloved part of the small town.
