The historic drive-in, which opened in September 1949, boasts one screen that shows two films – either classics or newer releases – every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening.

However, there will be a few new pandemic-related rules that all guests must follow, including getting out of your car to purchase your tickets at the ticket booth. You’ll have to stay in your car for the film.

If you want to bring a blanket or a lawn chair, you can sit in front of your car but not beside it, to help with social distancing.

The playground will be closed, but you’ll still be able to buy food and other goodies from the concession stand. Bathrooms will also be regularly cleaned, so they’re safe for all guests to use.

While the movie starts at dusk, you can arrive up to an hour early to claim your favorite parking spot, settle in, and to buy your food.

You might, in fact, have to make several trips to the snack bar that sells such tasty favorites as hot dogs, BBQ sandwiches, and nachos. Don’t forget to grab some popcorn, candy, and drinks, too.

The season at 66 Drive-In typically runs from the beginning of April through the middle of September, so you have plenty of time to spend a night at the drive-in.
