Scenic trails can make even the most challenging of hikes oh-so-worth-it. While this trail that leads to a waterfall in Missouri isn’t too difficult, it does present some challenges to hikers. However, if you’re up for the challenge, you’ll be treated to views of a sensational waterfall, of a cave, and of an abundance of natural beauty.

Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area, in Branson, promises plenty to do for the whole family. However, if you really want to experience the 140-acre park, set off on one of the trails.

Short but oh-so-sweet, Bluff Trail clocks in at one and a half miles and boasts gorgeous scenery in every season.

While the terrain can get a bit rough on the trail, which is rated moderate, the biggest challenge is undoubtedly the 338 stone stairs.

Slip on your hiking boots and head over to Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area, open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the summer and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the winter.
