If you’re willing to drive the extra mile to get a slice of the best pizza in the state (and possibly the nation), head south of Norman to the middle of nowhere where you’ll find Baker’s Pizza joint in the town of Maysville. The town of Maysville is located about 15 miles south of Purcell, just off OK-74 South. With a population of just over 1200, there’s not a whole lot going on in town, except possibly the best pizza in the nation.

Baker’s Pizza is a family-owned restaurant located at 501 Ash Street. Look for the free standing building with an airplane’s tail sticking out from the top of it.

There’s an interesting mural on the wall you’ll need to ask the owners about when visiting. All of the pizzas can be ordered to go or sit down and enjoy the great service from Baker’s.

The pizza is all custom-made and is priced very well. A large one topping pizza will run you about $12.
