Three cheers for the weekend! Do you have plans yet? How about for Valentine’s evening? If not, you just might now – and you can bring the entire family along. The Lititz Fire & Ice Festival in Pennsylvania is set for this weekend. It promises an abundance of fun for the whole family – from ice sculptures and fire shows to good food and a winter carnival.
Celebrate winter at the 15th Annual Lititz Fire & Ice Festival, which kicks off on Valentine’s evening, Friday night, at 5 p.m. The first night of the festival features a huge block party downtown and runs until 9 p.m.

Friday’s festivities will include both fire and ice, starting with seasoned ice carvers from DiMartino Ice Company sculpting ice into artistic masterpieces along Main Street and Broad Street.

Beginning at 6:15 p.m. and continuing every 45 minutes, a spectacular Fire Show will illuminate the night. Guests are asked to pay a $1 donation to watch the show that will take place behind Lititz Mutual.

Stroll up and down the sidewalks, checking out the delicious offerings from more than 30 food trucks. Wilbur Chocolate will also host live entertainment as many of the town’s shops and restaurants will have extended hours for the two-day festival.

In addition to live ice carving and the Fire Show, Saturday will also feature a ton of fun events, including a chili cook-off. Sponsored by the Lititz Lions Club, the chili cook-off runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Warwick High School.

Sample the chili in the contest. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for kiddos younger than 12.

The high school will also host a winter carnival, with fun activities for the whole family – from games to inflatables. Purchase a wristband for unlimited play for $10. Individual ticket prices start at 50 cents.

If you can’t make it on Friday or Saturday, you can still admire the intricate ice sculptures on Monday and Tuesday, if the weather allows.
