Adverse weather is no stranger to the Lone Star State, and this year looks to be shaping up like any other. AccuWeather predicts 5-15% more tornadoes in 2020 than the average – and since more twisters touch down in Texas than anywhere else, we’ll definitely see the increase.
AccuWeather predicts up to 1450 tornadoes this year, which is an increase of almost 400 compared to 2019. While long-range weather forecasts don’t always offer the most accurate predictions, they definitely make sure we’re always prepared!

April hasn’t seen much activity so far, but we’re coming up on the most tornadic month by far. May brings over 40 twisters on average, so only time will tell what 2020 has in store.
