Ocean City, New Jersey is often referred to as America’s greatest family resort. While we’ve got so many amazing beach towns in the Garden State, Ocean City is all about good, clean fun. It’s been a dry (alcohol-free) town since it was founded in 1879 and has received countless awards over the years.

It was featured as one of the world’s best beach towns in National Geographic Travel Magazine and Coastal Living Magazine named Ocean City ‘America’s Happiest Seaside Town’. The Travel Channel rated Ocean City as the Best Family Beach of 2005

It’s a favorite among locals and travelers alike. The town stands out for its shopping, dining, and attractions. It offers two different districts to enjoy - the boardwalk and downtown!

The boardwalk is home to Gillian’s Wonderland Pier, a treasure that dates back to 1929. Gillian’s Wonderland Pier is famous for its 144-foot Giant Wheel, one of the largest Ferris wheels on the East Coast. Generations of children have enjoyed its rides and games.

You’ll also find Playland’s Castaway Cove - a family fun destination for over 50 years. It offers 32 rides plus mini-golf and go karts.

Of course there’s more to enjoy on the boardwalk but let’s cover downtown for a bit. Asbury Ave. is the heart of it all. You can find clothes, accessories, gifts, great food, and so much more.

Missing OCNJ? There’s a lot to love about it. We’d even be so bold to say that’s it a better vacation destination than Ocean City, Maryland. Summer isn’t so far off! In the meantime, we can always enjoy a video or two. Check out the beautiful drone footage captured by Brian Kerchner below.
