We are, too. But we know we don’t have to rush it because these 9 beautiful places in West Virginia will always be waiting for us no matter how long it takes things to get back to normal!
- The New River Gorge

- Charleston
Governor Jim Justice/Flickr We may not get to enjoy the tulips this spring, but the Capitol, its gardens, and the beloved city of Charleston will still be there when we are back to normal again.
- Spruce Knob
Sonja/Flickr The highest point in West Virginia will always be there, waiting for us to come on up for another peek at one of the best views in the state!
- Harpers Ferry
Walt Stoneburner/Flickr This old town has been around for well over two hundred years, and it isn’t going anywhere now.
- West Virginia University
Cole Camplese/Flickr Campus is eerily quiet right now, but it’s not going anywhere, either, and we look forward to seeing it back to bustling at some point next school year!
- Blackwater Falls

- Seneca Rocks
Dion Hinchcliffe/Flickr Seneca Rocks has undergone some changes in the past few decades, losing portions of its famous rock face, but as a whole, it still stands sentinel over Germany Valley, just as it’s always done.
- Dolly Sods
Nicolas Raymond/Flickr Dolly Sods Wilderness and Scenic Area will still be just as beautiful (and perhaps even more so) the next time we visit.
- Coopers Rock Overlook
