Wyomingites have made up our minds about quite a few things, and one trait of people from Wyoming is that we’re pretty stubborn when we want to be! Check out a few of the values and ideals that we hold dear.

  1. Social Distancing

Flickr / Brendan Bombaci Out here in the Cowboy State, we’re way ahead of the trend. Please give us space on the trail and don’t expect us to invite you on our annual backpacking excursions.

  1. Enjoying the weather

Flickr / carfull…from Wyoming WE LOVE THE WIND. Love it. The snow too. Won’t complain - nope, not us.

  1. Carnivorous appetites

Flickr / Andrew Czap It’s rare to find a Wyomingite who doesn’t eat meat. When you’re raised out on the range, steak is one of the food groups.

  1. Politics

Flickr / Darius Norvilas Wyoming is about as red of a state as there is, but no matter what your political beliefs may be, if you live out here it’s hard to change your mind.

  1. Appreciating the value of hard work

K. Magaraci You won’t find anyone here complaining about working from can’t see to can’t see. It’s part of who we are - we aren’t afraid to get our hands dirty and to work hard.

  1. Fiercely defending wildlife.

K. Magaraci Nothing gets us more riled up than hearing about someone mistreating an animal. Whether it be a ranch animal or the wildlife, we respect life out here.

  1. Insisting our state is the most beautiful in the country

K. Magaraci Well, obviously, this one is just the truth. There’s no place on Earth more beautiful than the Cowboy State. It’s a trait of people from Wyoming to defend the beauty of Wyoming… while also complaining about those that come to see it for themselves.

  1. Being Self-Sufficient

K. Magaraci You’ll find so many Wyomingites living off the grid that it may shock you. We’re independent and willing to work to keep up our old fashioned lifestyles.
