Generally speaking, when it comes to spotting any kind of New Yorker, our state residents tend to unknowingly stick out like sore thumbs among the rest of the country – the best kind of sore thumbs though, of course! While the pride that comes along with being a resident of the Empire State is certainly unmatched, there’s nothing quite like being able to say that you’re from Buffalo. If you’re going to refer to our area as something, just call it Western New York.
- Calling pop anything other than pop.

- Grocery shopping only at Wegmans.

After years of dealing with lake-effect weather, we’ve become quite stubborn about this matter - now officially refusing to ever let our harsh weather get in the way of our plans.
