The COVID-19 pandemic has everyone quarantined in their house for the next few days and maybe even weeks to come. Trips to the store have gotten more and more tricky, as everyone seems to be buying the same things. During these tough times, it’s important to laugh, so we thought we’d feature a lighthearted piece about things that everyone who lives in Louisiana has in their house during this quarantine.

Stay safe and healthy, everyone!

  1. Alcohol

  1. Seafood

Jackie Ann/Flickr Fresh shrimp, crabs, and maybe even some crawfish. Luckily, living in Louisiana means we have access to some of the freshest seafood in the country!

  1. Red beans

cookbookman17/Flickr With all this time on your hands, you can make red beans and rice from scratch! Just remember to soak those beans the night before.

  1. Flour

Jessica Spengler/Flickr Speaking of having all that time on your hands, you might as well make a roux.

  1. Cajun spices

Kate Ter Haar/Flickr Your pantry is stocked up with all your favorite cajun spices to make all your specialty dishes with the help of that roux you’ve been stirring forever.

  1. Cleaning supplies
