The Place/Facebook Blending in with the residential homes of the neighborhood, The Place is one of the oldest taverns that you’ll find in all of Buffalo. Sitting on the corner of Lexington and Ashland Avenues, The Place has been up and running here in our city for generations, only ever briefly closing to undergo some slight renovations. Equipped with a large front porch that you’ll find Buffalonians hanging out on during our warmers months, there’s certainly no other neighborhood spot quite like The Place in Erie County.

Dating all the way back to, you guessed it, 1868, Ulrich’s Tavern can be found over on Ellicott and Viginia Streets. Not only is it great to stop into Ulrich’s Tavern for history’s sake, but this little spot on the corner is also known for its scrumptious food menu and live music that will keep you on your toes.
